Olds Recording Trombone - $800

I need to let go of my emotional baggage related to my Olds Recording. I played it in school and professionally from 1997 to 2001. These pictures are what it looks like after being polished. There is a slight dent in the slide crook and various dings elsewhere which do not affect play.
I’ve wanted to have it overhauled (stripped, replated, polished, laquered, dent-removed) ever since I’ve had it, but my family and I have always been too poor. This is part of the baggage, the other is that I was not able to sustain a professional career much past 9/11 when the economy tanked and decent paying gigs dried up.
It comes with a hard case, stand, leather grips & pencil holder, Conn SuperSlick solutions, a chamois, small water spray bottle, slide cleaning snake, mouthpiece cleaning snake, cleaning rod, and original Olds #3 mouthpiece.
Bell is engraved with what I can only describe as an angel-winged insignia with “Olds Recording Made by F.E. Olds & Son Fullerton Calif.” in the center. Resale value, as I understand it, is probably in the $1,200-$1,300 range, if overhauled. The overhaul should be no more than $500.
I need to save up for a security deposit so no lowballing! This was made as a professional-level trombone. I will only accept cash and we will meet at a police station, no exceptions.
